01 1. Sea Fishing·Point Fishing Type

In sea fishing, the point fishing type uses fixed structures such as rocks and piers to attract fish. Typically the fish habitat depth is 5–30 m, and the active temperature range is 12 °C–22 °C.

The rig uses floating lures weighing 20–40 g with a 0.8–1.2 mm leader. When wind is below 5–15 m/s, the lure moves steadily, increasing bite probability.

Note that during strong currents (current speed ≥ 1.5 m/s) the lure can drift unexpectedly, making fish miss it. In such cases add about 10 g weight or shorten the leader to compensate.

02 2. River·Lake Fishing·Fly Type

The fly type casts artificial flies on the surface to trigger the predatory instinct of fish. Optimal depth is 1–5 m and temperature 8 °C–16 °C.

Fly line diameter is 0.12–0.18 mm, weight 5–15 g, and the highest success is in zones with water flow 0.3–0.8 m/s.

In strong currents (≥ 1.0 m/s) the fly disappears quickly, so choose a high‑elastic carbon line and keep the retrieve short.

⚠ Common Mistakes for Fly Type
  1. Lure is too light and misses bites: Use at least 5 g
  2. Excessively lengthen line: keep under 3–5 m depending on flow

03 3. Coastal Trolling·Deep Sea Type

Deep‑sea trolling uses a vessel to pull fish at a steady speed. Target species include cod and red seabream, with depths of 30–80 m and temperatures of 10 °C–18 °C.

Trolling line diameter is 0.4–0.6 mm, and bait weight ranges from 200–500 g. Speed of 2–3 knots (3.7–5.5 km/h) is optimal for each species.

In areas with strong ocean currents (speed ≥ 1.5 m/s), line twists are likely, so add a swivel device to reduce friction.

04 4. River Mouth·Croaker Fishing Type

River mouth and croaker fishing type use small baits in shallow water. Depth is 0.5–2 m and temperature 15 °C–24 °C.

The rig combines 2–4 g mini baits with a 0.4–0.6 mm leader. Bites are most frequent in calm zones with flow 0.1–0.4 m/s.

After heavy rain, rapid temperature rise causes fish to move quickly, so lighten the bait by 1–2 g and explore the shoreline slowly.
